URBAN SPOON DINER REVIEW • SEP 12, 2013 LIKES IT
I was excited that a new restaurant opened up near my work. There’s Rudy’s and the Flying Cow and that’s it. I eat mostly vegetarian so the prospect of good falafel so close was exciting to me.
It’s clearly called Sisters because there are three women (presumably sisters) taking the orders and cooking the food. They are friendly and reasonably fast. I wonder how they will keep up, though, when word gets out about their food.
The menu is short and sweet. Kafta Chicken/Beef, Hummus, Tabouli, and Falafel. The falafel is not like what I’ve tried before around town. It is clearly handmade. It comes wrapped in a fresh made pita with tomatoes (lettuce?), banana peppers and special sauce wrapped up in a little white bag with the top twisted closed like a candy wrapper. She asked me if I knew how to work the bag…
I figured it out…yum!
